This effort is led by Stephen and Joni Rankin. Steve is a United Methodist minister with extensive experience in pastoral ministry and higher education. He has a Master of Divinity, a Master of Theology in missions and evangelism, and a PhD in religious studies (Northwestern University). His pastoral experience includes an expatriate congregation near Rome, Italy as well as churches in Kansas and Illinois in suburban and rural settings. He has been a professor, campus minister, interim dean, and university chaplain. He is author of Aiming at Maturity: The Goal of the Christian Life, as well as book chapters and articles on Wesleyan theology and faith development.
Joni has a bachelor's degree in philosophy and religious studies and an MBA. She has experience in youth and children's ministry, also nonprofit management and higher education, especially in relation to online learning.
The ministry is guided by a board of directors, whose members provided the original impetus for the formation of this organization.
